Best practices for talking with creators

Tips and best practices for chatting with creators in Montu's chat in an effective, clear and professional way.

A good conversation is key to a good collaboration. Montu's chat is your direct channel with content creators, and using it in a clear, friendly and professional way improves both the experience and your campaign results.

✅ 1. Always introduce yourself

When you start a conversation, include your name and role in the company, especially if it's the first time you're talking to that creator.

Example:

"Hi, I'm Paula from the [BRAND] marketing team. Thanks for applying to our campaign!"

✅ 2. Be friendly and proactive

Keep a warm, collaborative tone at all times. If you need changes to a video, be clear but empathetic. Good communication strengthens the relationship.

✅ 3. Be clear and direct

Avoid ambiguity. If you need the creator to do something specific (e.g. change the music, add a hashtag, change an angle), say so clearly and in detail.

✅ 4. Use the official channel

Whenever possible, keep communication inside Montu. That way everything is on record, and it's easier to track things or resolve any disputes.

✅ 5. Use the chat's files and resources

Send examples, briefs, documents or references directly through the chat. This prevents misunderstandings and makes sure the creator has all the information they need in one place.

✅ 6. Reply on time

Good creators value quick replies. Using the Unread ("No leídos") and Unanswered ("No respondidos") filters will help you keep up with active conversations.
